Learn to Think.
Learn to Build.

Software Engineering & AI Foundations is an 8-week live online program for beginners. Study programming fundamentals, build a project, and learn to check the code you write with AI.

  • Live online
  • 8 weeks
  • 2 live sessions per week
  • Capstone project

Loading projects from an API

const response = await fetch(url);
return response.json();
What if the request fails?

An AI-generated draft may leave out error handling. Check the response before reading the data.

if (!response.ok) {
  throw new Error("Request failed");
}
return response.json();

Verify the change Test a successful response and a server error. Check how the interface handles each.

Career pathway

Each stage builds on the last, from how computers work to a project you can demonstrate.

Understanding comes before tools

It is possible to follow a tutorial and still be unsure what to do when the code breaks. CodeCraftie starts with the fundamentals so you can reason through a problem, explain your decisions, and revise your work.

The program is for beginners, including university students, career switchers, and professionals exploring software development. Expect regular practice and project work. Eight weeks provides a foundation; developing proficiency takes continued work.

What you'll learn

The modules progress from computing fundamentals to a deployed, AI-assisted capstone project.

  1. 01

    Computer & Internet Foundations

    How machines, networks, and the web work, and the mental models that support the rest of the course.

  2. 02

    Programming Fundamentals

    Variables, logic, functions, and problem decomposition.

  3. 03

    Git & Version Control

    Branches, commits, pull requests, and collaboration on GitHub.

  4. 04

    JavaScript

    The language of the web, from a first script to structured application logic.

  5. 05

    Web Development

    HTML, CSS, and modern layouts. Build interfaces that are fast, responsive, and accessible.

  6. 06

    APIs & Engineering Workflow

    Connect to services, read documentation, handle errors, and follow a development workflow.

  7. 07

    React

    Create interactive interfaces with components and state.

  8. 08

    AI-Assisted Software Engineering

    Use AI to move faster while learning to review, test, debug, secure, and verify everything it produces.

  9. 09

    Capstone Project

    Design, develop, and present an application, with code review and iteration along the way.

  10. 10

    Career & Professional Development

    Your portfolio, your project story, and how to talk about your work with confidence.

How the program works

Learn. Build. Get feedback. Improve. Every concept follows the same four steps.

Start with the mental model

Each concept begins with a plain-language mental model, so you understand why something works before you write code.

AI-assisted engineering

You remain responsible for the code.

Use AI to explore approaches and draft a solution. Then read the changes, check assumptions, and test behavior, including failure cases. Debugging and security review are part of that work.

A working result is only part of the task. You also need to explain why the solution works and where it might fail.

In the capstone, a small working application you fully understand beats a sophisticated AI-generated one you cannot explain.

Your time

Two live sessions a week, plus about 3–5 hours of independent work outside the sessions. Each week includes a focused assignment and a reflection or check-in.

A weekly readiness check

Each week your instructor reviews your work and gives you an honest status: ready to advance, needs reinforcement with targeted practice, or not ready, which means revisiting the prerequisites first.

We do not promise jobs, clients, or income. We commit to training, reviews, feedback, practical deliverables, support, and accountability. You choose your option and upload your proof of payment on the application form.

How to apply and pay

Three steps. Your place is confirmed once we have checked your payment.

What we believe

Understanding over memorization

We teach mental models, not syntax alone, so you can reason through problems you have not seen before.

Building over consuming

You learn by creating and practising, not only by watching.

Practice over promises

We make no unrealistic career claims. You get structured practice and honest feedback.

Honest progress

We tell you where you actually are and what comes next.

Frequently asked questions

None. The program assumes zero experience and starts with how computers and the internet work. If you can use a computer, you can start here.

No. Eight weeks is enough to establish a foundation, practise with development tools and AI, and complete a capstone project. Becoming a software engineer takes continued study and project work after the program.

Two live sessions per week, plus about 3–5 hours of independent work outside the sessions. Each week includes a focused assignment, a practical exercise, and a reflection or check-in.

AI tools are used to draft and explore possible solutions. Every module also requires you to review, test, debug, secure, and verify the output.

There are three options: Foundation at ₦80,000, Career Launch at ₦150,000, and 1:1 Pro at ₦300,000. The Program details section shows what each includes. You choose your option and upload your proof of payment on the application form.
